My Socks

These are my socks. God blew them off my feet this week. I don't mean rolled them off or gave them a tug. I mean tornado twistin, hurricane force blew them off my feet.
A couple of weeks ago our pastor preached on Collosians 4:2-4. Praying expectantly and watching for God's answer. So I prayed for provision. Last year was tough. Not a lot of work for Seth and trying to cope with my dad's sudden death. I honestly don't remember much of last year. But I knew we had acquired some debt and my car was falling apart. We needed provision and relief. So I prayed and I believed and even when I was discouraged and bummed out I still believed.
I can't give a ton of details because it would be too personal but He answered my prayers beyond my requests and in such a way that the Glory is HIS alone. No, I did not get exactly what I was asking for but this is so much better because it is all about Him.
I have this saying on my fridge:
"Jesus was transfigured on the hilltop, but He transforms us in the valley." J. Charles Stern
It is so true. The valleys of the last year have been dark and sometimes very frightening and lonely. But I kept on believing waiting and watching..I knew HE would answer me, not sure in what way but I knew He would.
I am so humbled and so overwhelmed and so thankful for a God who loves me that much.
